Happy (bizzay) Monday, guys!
First, I'm also posting today on The Indelibles blog (link), where I'll be introducing myself as a new member of that awesome group of independent authors.
Next, I am thrilled to help promote a great writer-friend's hilarious, sexy, fun new women's romance/urban fantasy novel. (I'm actually a little biased because I edited it.)
A New Adult Urban Fantasy, The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear is the first book in a new series. And it’s now out!
The main character, Hetty, is a 22-year-old, stumbling about in an effort to become a full-fledged adult. She struggles with self-esteem, weight, relationships, and making the transition between college and the real world.
Graduation from community college isn’t the magic elixir Hetty Locklear counts on for becoming an adult. Her parents, who work the Renaissance fair circuit, insist she spend part of the summer with them, but Hetty doubts pretending to live in the Middle Ages will help her find her way.
To make it worse, an entity haunts her at her dead-end job, warning her of a dangerous man she doesn’t know. The ghost leads her to a lover who has lots of secrets. He pulls her farther into peril and into a strange, hidden world of genetic experimentation.
New Adult Urban Fantasy with a contemporary sci-fi twist. Mature content.
Available as an ebook at Amazon / Amazon UK / Smashwords / iTunes / Kobo
Visit www.mpaxauthor.com for more links.
M. Pax is celebrating her latest release with a jousting tournament and contest at www.mpaxauthor.com. Cheer for the knights to help them win the grand prize, and you’ll be put in a drawing to win an ebook copy of The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear. Five will be given away. Huzzah!
In addition to Hetty, you might remember I'm helping with a PSA to end the use of captchas on blog comments.
Friends, if you're concerned that more people don't comment on your blog, it might be because you've got the Egyptian hieroglyphics turned on.
Please, please, trust Blogger's spam guard. It really does work! I've used it for years.
Lastly, I'll be brief. My new book ROUGE is now live! I'm so excited.
Where to get it, you ask? Why, at Amazon * Barnes & Noble * Kobo * Smashwords of course!
THANKS, guys! And have a great week, reader- and writer-friends~ <3

Wow tons going on today at your shore, congrats and congrats some more. And yeah captcha crap should take a hike.
ReplyDeleteBuying Rouge right now! Oh, and I HATE Captchas! Hate, with a passion.
ReplyDeleteHoorah for M Pax and raspberries to captcha (although I don't mind them really! LOL!)
ReplyDeleteYay for Rouge!
Take care
x
PSA? I love it! That's exactly what it is.
ReplyDeleteCan I just say I love NA and I'm so glad that it's a genre. (Is that weird to say? I don't care. I'm not taking it back.)
Death to Captcha!
Down with Captcha!
ReplyDeleteNA is such an intriguing genre.
ReplyDeleteAnd Rouge...live! Wow!
Yay for Rouge! And for ending Captcha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping with the launch, Leigh. You're fabulous.
Hey, LB...
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS ON ROUGE! That is SOOOOOOO exciting! All the best!
BB raises arm with a growling cheer!
Cool for MPAX.... Need to get over to her blog.
AND DEATH TO CAPTCHA~!
Wrapping a BB hug around you!
Congratulations to both you and Hetty! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteAnd Down with Captcha! I hate those things and really struggle reading them. :X
Hi Leigh, I haven't seen in a while and stopping by to say hello! Congrats! to you and Hefty. And I'm glad this Captcha thing is finally here as I'm really tired of seeing that stupid face hahaha.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your book release, Leigh. I'm off to download it now.
ReplyDeleteI really hate those Captcha things. I'm going crossed eyed trying to read them. :(
Down with Captchas!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a joust for a book release.
Congrats on Rouge--can't wait to read it!
great release announcements cushioning the slam of captchas! well done!
ReplyDelete@Tami--Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! :o) <3
ReplyDelete@LBD--I love the whole jousting release as well! Mary is so creative, and I just love Hetty's story. :o) Thanks for the congrats on ROUGE! I can't wait for everyone to read it! <3
@Tara--It's a sandwich post! :D <3
Haha, love it. Will check out this book, too. Sounds cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that your book came out. It sounds like an interesting plot and I'm going to check it out. I'm with you on the Capcha thing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Book Bday!!! *tossing confetti*
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Rouge - going on my TBR pile.
ReplyDeleteI hate Captcha. Such a time-waster. Get rid of it people!
Wow, lots of stuff happening! Off to buy Rouge right now! Congrats.
ReplyDelete@Megan--yeah, captcha, craptcha. Hetty's a great, fun book. Thanks! :o)
ReplyDelete@Clarissa--Yay! New books! Hope you like this one, too! <3
@Ellie--Thank you! Can't wait to hear what you think of Rouge! :o)
Now that it's getting colder and dark earlier, I'll have more time for reading. Something steamy sounds great:)
ReplyDeleteThat craptcha is so annoying. If it were just legible I wouldn't mind it so much. What's really weird is that some bloggers use it AND comment moderation. The CM and not allowing anonymous comments work just fine for me.
I'm the Knight of The Fae Forest in Lady Pax's tournament. It's awesome to see the plug for it. Looks like you have a great deal going on still. But doesn't always seem so busy? I find the older I get the busier everything, including blogs and TBR piles, get.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I love that cover of Rouge! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ciara! I hope you get to read and like it! :o) <3
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh, it is nice to meet you. Just became a new follower! Stopped by from Mary's blog as part of the Hetty Tournament! I am the Knight Aidensdein!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cheers in the tournament Leigh! Greatly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteThe cover for Rogue is beautiful!! Nice job, Jolene!! Congratulations, Leigh!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, DOWN WITH CAPTCHA! :)
Rouge has a beautifully designed cover! What age ranges is it aimed at? Looking for a gift for my niece for Xmas!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are supporting CAPTCHA craptcha! I hate those things so much, they seem to be impossible to read these days. Maybe I am a robot!
I have started using a CAPTCHA bypass browser extension program called RUMOLA to read them all for me because they just frustrate me so so much. You can give it a try and www.skipinput.com. Would recommend to all CAPTCHA haters out there.
:)
I am running to get RUMOLA right NOW!!! Thanks, Alicia! :D
ReplyDeleteAs for ROUGE, it's "mature YA," so I'd say 16+. My ruler is if she was able to read Mockingjay, then she should be OK to read it! (And it's on sale til 11/26, so great timing!)
THANKS again! :o) <3
