Be it romance or politics..you read it today and you feel like the characters and place can be transported to the present. Sometimes It maybe cause of the writers' style or cause it holds special memories for people. eg. world war 2 themed stories and movies.
Provoking post..Gingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10294850491382303707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8702219714438420151.post-22716471063378596452011-04-28T11:04:51.070-04:002011-04-28T11:04:51.070-04:00@Stephen--I think we got it. Like the storytelling voice, the underlying theme, the realness of the characters. It's almost like the authors of those classics breathe in a bit of wisdom without readers even detecting that's what it is. Each character is there for a purpose and adds something so real, that they themselves become real.

Sounds like a fun blogfest!PK HREZOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11650153097981426833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8702219714438420151.post-77134917591921067142011-04-26T09:56:44.258-04:002011-04-26T09:56:44.258-04:00oh crap. Rowling's Harry Potter Series as a modern day classic? I would. Why? Popularity, world wide popularity, it's used in school systems, in writing classes, it has its own theme park and eight movies to its name. I would love to write something like that too but I don't think writing a classic is something anyone really has control over. I doubt JK knew what she was doing in any case when she wrote that first book.Creepy Query Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18115161057496086972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8702219714438420151.post-42379544378919863272011-04-25T23:01:13.125-04:002011-04-25T23:01:13.125-04:00It's hard to know what makes a classic, a clas...It's hard to know what makes a classic, a classic.
